do all your plants grow?
i recently asked a friend about certain gardening problems and wondered if, despite all your own green thumb efforts, some of your plants - potted or in ground - remain stunted in their growth.. thanks!.
coco coleus.
Hi CoCo
If your plants are in pots, check that they aren't 'potbound' - where the roots run out of space and just grow into a tight tangled lump.
For all plants use fertilizer if needed - check out the N:P:K ratio.
This page gives you some good guidelines

Happy gardening!

post your summer time songs and videos.. chuck prophet: summer time thing.
give it a listen.
see if you can't just feel the heat and see it rising off the pavement.. to start this thread off:.
okay here's the deal.
i just started a new job.
although i've been working at this place for half a year now, they just now within the last month made me a full-time employee.
Do you leave a good few hours between eating your last meal and going to bed? With you saying you're worse in the morning when you get up, maybe you're not giving your evening meal enough time to digest beyond your stomach? Scully may know the right answer - I think they suggest at least 3 hours before going to bed.
Strangely, the opposite might be true too - if you're leaving too long between your last meal and breakfast, your blood sugars might be dropping too low, make your last meal a slow release carbohydrate rich one, as this will help keep your blood sugars more stable through the night.
Now, daft as it sounds, you might also be subconciously stressing about feeling sick too! Which won't help - try self-talking yourself into not being/feeling sick, occupy your mind with something else.
as others said, ginger is really good for nausea. If you can, try and get hold of some 'stem ginger' (it might be called something different where you are!) I think its caramelised or softened ginger root - so it gives you something to chew on rather than just swallowing staraight down - gives the whole of your digestive system, including your salivary glands a kick start :)
Another thing to try is a copper studded pressure point bracelet - often used by expectant mothers suffering morning sickness! Not sure about how effective these are though.
Hope that the answers/suggestions on this thread will help and that you feel well soon :)
someone sent me this list today so i thought i'd post it here for some light entertainment.
i read through the list nodding my head and saying yes to quite a few of these 'universal truths'.
enjoy.. hopscotch.
1. Part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
I told my sister if anything happens to me she is to be the first person in my house and discard anything that would shock or disgust our mother.
Apparently, safe mode is your best non-human friend!
there are many religious people in this world.
many that i know, are very friendly, accomodating and personable....because they're trying to act "christian".
the same applies to some observant jews that i know.
Nope.
it's what's in your own 'heart' that motivates and makes you who you are.
There are whitewashed tombs in all walks of life - some have more whitewash than others!
Lovely cats everyone! My vet calls tortoiseshells 'naughty torties' because apparently they have that reputation - anyone care to confirm or deny??!
I have 2 cats but no 'electronic' pics of them.
One is a black shorthair, he's 15, fast asleep right by my side as I write. He's got a big, inoperable tumour on his neck :( but he's still happy and trying to act like a spring chicken! Not in any pain as yet - hopefully he won't ever have any.
my other cat is a black and white longhair, she's about 13 (a rescued stray so don't know for sure), she's totally deaf and also has permanent cat flu - i try to avoid being in sneezing range lol!
but i guess this is my first big rant.. this last year has been the hardest year of my life.
my son tried to kill himself ( he did something pretty bad, got caught, and i guess that's the only way he thought to deal) i am also very close to actually hating my husband, and i do not hate people.
and every decision that i make lately seems to be the wrong one.
My thoughts are with you Tammy.
Can't offer you much practically but it sounds like the other posters have given enough for now - especially making that 'you' time - that is the key to getting you through whatever you decide.
I had a couple of thoughts which may or may not help.
1. You say your hubby got laid off the day after you signed the mortgage papers. Did he have any idea that this would happen? I don't know how it works where you are, but in the UK, you have to declare that you aren't aware of impending job loss, and if you're found to have lied, you're in big trouble. I was thinking, if the same applies there but he hadn't even told you, there might be some grounds for your part of the mortgage agreement being invalid so you won't be considered liable/could get your name removed? (hope you can make some sense of what i just wrote!) You'd need to get the legal advice on that.
2. If you do need to give up the dog because of your sons allergy, and you still don't fancy a toy variety, you could look at a standard poodle (they're big and look quite 'normal' if you don't do the fancy clips!) or, if you have them where you are yet, a labradoodle hybrid - they look more like a labrador but have very low hair shedding like poodles - they were developed to train as guide dogs for blind people with fur allergies :)
Take good care of YOU and your children.
